Beach Access at Edgewater Cottages

Enjoy exclusive access to Big Stump Beach, an approximately 8 mile stretch of sandy beach nestled between Waldport (~2 miles to the north) and Yachats (~6 miles to the south). The beach is within walking distance from the the cottages, which varies from approximately 1 minute to steps (West Wind, Rustic et al.). Local points of interest within short walking distance on the beach are the Big Stump and Beachside State Recreational Site (to the south) and Governor Patterson Memorial State Recreation Site (to the north).

There are approximately 23 steps leading down to the beach, punctuated with a landing where you can find a water faucet with a hose to clean off sandy feet. The final stretch of stairs varies with the season because of sand build-up/recess (for the past few years the ramp at the foot of the stairs has been buried.
